Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music, London, in 2001, Jerry has had a busy and varied career. As a freelance trumpet player he has played with a number of professional orchestras in the UK and in Europe.
As a Fellow of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust he is committed to Music Education and in particular creating opportunities for young people who do not have the chance to learn a musical instrument. In summer 2008 the Trust supported him in visiting the Music Education System (El Sistema) in Venezuela and on his return he began implementing innovative projects in the UK.
Jerry also has a busy schedule as a trumpet soloist. His wide repertoire stretches from baroque music through to contemporary repertoire and he is currently looking forward to a European Trumpet and Organ recital tour.
Jerry is also principal trumpet with one of Britain's busiest brass ensembles, which features the talents of some of the finest players from London orchestras. The quintet broadcasts frequently on BBC television and radio and plays regularly at Canterbury Cathedral for major services and ceremonies as well as at concert venues, including the Queen Elizabeth Hall. It has been a guest ensemble at a number of music festivals and music clubs in the UK and Europe, and being ideal for smaller venues has also played at weddings and corporate functions for a number of VIPs and celebrities. Jerry also plays with a larger brass ensemble designed for ceremonial occasions.
