This experienced Hertfordshire-based six piece Cajun Band has been entertaining audiences all over the UK for the last twelve years and has built up a reputation for energetic foot stomping, goodtime roots derived numbers and toe tapping music. The band's reliability, approachability and varied repertoire make them one of the most popular Cajun bands in the Home Counties.
The band comprises fiddle, accordion, banjo with bouzouki, two guitars and percussion (including their own purpose-built rubboard known as the veste-frottoir). With this strong rhythmic foundation this band will inspire the most reluctant guest to join in the dancing. The band has performed regularly at private parties, weddings and festivals and appeared on radio and television. Presenter Andy Kershaw hailed them as being in 'the vanguard of the British Cajun explosion' when they featured as a guest band on his show. They have also appeared on 'the Warehouse' Carlton TV programme.
The individual experience of the band encompasses folk, blues, rockabilly, classical and jazz and this blend of styles colours their playing and provides them with the basis for their particular mix of Cajun, Zydeco, Rhythm & Blues and Swamp pop repertoire. Whether you're a regular fan of Cajun music or a novice you can rest assured that this band will enliven your party and give you an evening to remember.
