The Chameleon Dixieland Jazzband is a classic 6 - 7 piece traditional jazz band. For that ever popular, foot tapping, 'Trad' Jazz and 'Chicago' style this band will fill your needs from Real Ale Festivals and private functions to corporate events and Jazz Festivals. The line up consists of clarinet, trumpet, trombone, piano, double bass and drums with optional guitar. 

The band is run by Chris, who has been involved in jazz and swing music since he bought his first clarinet in 1955. He has regularly presented the jazz programme on BBC local radio stations in the South for over 25 years. He is currently a committee member of the jazz section of the Musicians Union, and regularly organises jazz festivals, theme cruises and jazz lectures for major leisure companies. 

Chris also runs the Chameleon Swingtet, a 4-6 piece band which specialises in the much-loved swing repertoire of the 1930s and 1940s. This band is equally at home providing dance music for leading hotels and cruise liners, appearing in their own right or backing top National (and International) jazz stars at Festivals and in pubs and clubs. Chris also runs the Chameleon Dixie Five, the ideal "Walkabout" Jazz band.
