JQ08
Dedicated and experienced jazz quartet

The players in this jazz band are highly respected for the authenticity and freshness of their treatment of the lesser-known tunes of the 1920's and '30s. They are regularly seen touring throughout the UK and have recently played at the Ascona and Arosa Jazz Festivals in Switzerland as well as in Germany and Belgium.

The band leader has been playing since the 1950s and ran his own band in Portsmouth from 1956-60. Joining Barry 'Kid' Martyn's London group, he remained there until 1967. He toured and recorded with a number of New Orleans players including Louis Nelson, George Lewis, Capt. John Handy and the recently deceased Harold Dejan. From the mid 80s to the early 90s, he was part of Butch Thompson's King Oliver Centennial Band.

Formed in 1972, this band is still a fixture at festivals in Britain. Featuring some of the most experienced and dedicated jazz musicians in the country, the band has vast experience in performing for all kinds of events from large concerts and festivals through to intimate weddings and private parties. Whatever your function, their light hearted and uplifting jazz music will set the perfect mood for the occasion.

Having performed with such legendary artists as Sam Remington and George Lewis, what they don't know about Jazz music isn't worth knowing. The perfect accompaniment for wedding receptions, birthday celebrations, corporate events and outdoor garden parties, this band is the obvious choice for quality, experience and value for money.
