Stephen is Organist and Director of Music at Waltham Abbey, having previously held appointments at Guildford and Lincoln Cathedrals.
He has recorded a number of CDs, including part of Priory Records' Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis series and broadcast live on BBC radio. He is in demand as a continuo player; recent engagements include Handel's Saul, Samson, Semele and Saul, Purcell's Dido and Aeneas and numerous works by JS Bach.
A chamber organ and harpsichord can be supplied and tuned on demand.
Stephen directs the chamber choir, Ferdinand's Consort whose debut CD (The Sacred Music of Thomas Morley) was released last year. From September 2009 he will also be director of the North Herts Guild of Singers.
Recent organ recitals venues have included Bromley and Kingston Parish churches, Westminster Abbey and Bristol Cathedral.
Stephen is currently researching the choral music of John Weldon in conjuction with Bangor University.
